Christmas vacation is over
It’s Sunday night and Leona goes back to school tomorrow. These two and a half weeks went by fast. We managed to cram a lot of things into our holiday break – playdates, sleepovers, the aquarium, spending time with Grammy and Papa, going to Talladega, and visiting with the Putts.
We all had a great Christmas. Hope you did too. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2009.

The climber
Julia is like her big sister, she never met a drawer she didn’t want to climb into. Although I must say she has taken the use of drawers to a whole new level….you may ask yourself, why are you taking a picture of this instead of getting her down? Well, I’d tell you but I think DFCS is knocking on my door.

A visit to Talladega
We made a quick trip to visit our friends Anne B, Cris, and Elise in Talladega last weekend. Elise got two new puppies for Christmas. those puppies combined with the great outdoors and we barely saw Elise and Leona the entire time we were there. We had a great time.

My New Painting
Carly’s mom, Susan Linville, is a talented artist. Check out the painting she did of Leona in Spello, Italy when she was 19 months old.
I love seeing it every day and the reminder of that amazing vacation. We’re going again this June!! Anyone want to join us?

Alice visits
We had a fun weekend in early December with Katherine and Alice visiting us from New York. The girls of course had to have some dress up time and then we went to make real gingerbread houses at Roy’s Restaurant. It was lots of fun….two candies for the house, one candy in the mouth….repeat.

It didn’t take long with that much sugar for Leona to get disinvited to the next part of the weekend – the Botanical Gardens. That’s okay, Julia and Alice had a fun time together.
