Here’s a funny video – and it’s not dancing
Minnie is learning to dive. You’ll love it.

Yet another dance video
I forgot to post this back in July. It seems all that I video are moments when the girls are dancing. I can’t help it. They make me laugh.

Concert in the park
Sunday night we went to a “Beatles” concert in Bellefontaine. We met my good friend Dawne and her family. Her daughter Kitty is nine years old, so lovely and full of enthusiasm. She was very patient with Julia and Leona. They danced to the music and even went up to front to help sing Yellow Submarine.

Making our own fun
We discovered that the toy bin has wheels and is much more fun for Julia to ride in than carry toys. Leona decided to bungee cord it to her bike (she’s her father’s daughter) and go for a spin around Hickory Lane. Julia laughed and laughed.

More fun with the Caspers
Ami brought James, Reagan and Luke down to Indian Lake for a couple of days and then Lucy went back to Avon with them. We all had so much fun. The kids were EXHAUSTED. Poor James played in the sand so much that his private parts were sandblasted. Little Reagan rarely got out of the water and Luke kept himself busy going on adventures with Leona in the woods.
Look how darling they are.

John Bryan State Park
We drove about an hour south of Indian Lake yesterday and went on a hike through a beautiful park. It was located along cliffs and a river. Leona walked backwards during much of the hike pretending she was the tour guide. She told us “watch your step folks.”
Afterward, we went to Young’s Dairy for some ice cream. They had some hungry goats Leona fed as well.

Fun with Lucy at Indian Lake

Lucy came back with us to Indian Lake. She and Leona have been having fun in the lake, jumping off the dock and boating.

Casper Chaos….not really
We went to visit my cousin Ami in Avon, Ohio (near Cleveland). She has an eight year old daughter, Lucy, and three year old triplets, James, Reagan and Luke. You’d think their home would be mahem but it’s not. Ami is such a great mom – so organized and energetic – and the kids are adorable, sweet and fun.
Julia got lots of attention from everyone while she was there. Leona didn’t get to come along on the trip. No, she didn’t get in trouble again. She just had a fever virus and stayed at home with Grammy.

1st Ice Cream Cone
I took Leona and Julia to the Town Trolley. It’s a little ice cream place in Huntsville that has been open for 25 years. My favorite is the reeses peanut butter cup ice cream. I intended to just give Julia some licks of my cone but she insisted on holding it. So, she got her own! Most of you know that my car is a pit anyway so there wasn’t too much harm done. Seeing her face was worth every drip.

The County Fair!
We went to the County Fair twice this week. Leona had so much fun. We rode the rides, played some games, pet the animals and of course ate the fair food. Leona particularly likes the bunny barn and the ferris wheel. Here’s a pic of Leona at the top.
