Halloween

Leona had planned to be a garden fairy for Halloween. (remember – she said I should be the dirt.) I was excited about creating those costumes and Julia even had a ladybug costume that was Minnie’s to wear in the same theme.

However, once the neighborhood started decorating for Halloween, Leona decided that the holiday was all about being scary and a garden fairy just wouldn’t cut it. So, at the last minute she switched to a witch and made Julia the black cat.

Julia cheered every time she got candy and wanted to sit down and eat it on our neighbors’ porches. Everyone thought they were an adorable team.

 

Disney….Aaaargh!

Well, we just returned from a Disney Cruise and 2 days at Disney World. David likes to refer to it as our “vacation.” That’s because he didn’t go. He doesn’t realize the impossibility of disciplining a 5 year old on a cruise ship when she knows you can’t pull the plug on your “vacation” if she misbehaves. Does anyone know a good book out there on parenting while on holiday?

I’m making it out to sound horrible. We really had a fun time and Julia was wonderful the whole time.
